The following is a guest post by a local Mom and Cumming Resident, Rachael.  I love her approach to planning for the new year and think I need to take her challenge, what about you?

New Year. New Month. New Day.
What are you going to do with it? What will you do to make changes in the new year? Do you have yours resolutions listed?
I’m a goal planner. I love nothing more than sitting down evaluating and putting together goals for the year, quarter, month, week, and day. I know not everyone is like that. But I sure do love it.
This year I decided to do a few things different. I wanted to have a big goal for the year. It makes things simpler and then everything else can filter into this. So I asked myself a very simple question…

Who do you want to be this year?

Once I got the answer, I made a list of actions I would need to do to become that person. And then like I said before, every goal I have for myself filters up to becoming that person I want to be.
Every road leads somewhere – make sure you are headed in the direction of where you want to end up. Be intentional. Time goes by way too fast!
So I’d like to challenge you too – who do you want to be? And how will you get there?
