Labor Day Weekend

Ahh…a nice relaxing three day weekend! I can hardly wait. There are tons of fun things going on around Forsyth County this long weekend.
Here’s a few things on our list:

Friday, August 30th

IPRA World Championship Rodeo – Pull out your cowboy / cowgirl boots & head over to the Cumming Fairgrounds.  August 30, 31, and September 1, 2013 Friday @ 8pm, Saturday @ 8pm, Sunday @ 7pm (Tickets for sale 2 hrs. prior to showtime) Ticket Prices – $15 for Adults, $10 for Ages 5-12 and 4 & under FREE. Forsyth County High School Football – Football kicks off tonight! You can go here to find out more information about the games.
Gwinnett Braves – There is a home game at 7:05 pm and the Gwinnett Braves are playing the Duram Bulls. You can get discounted tickets by going here.

Saturday, August 31st

Storytime at Barnes & Noble – Join Barnes & Noble at the Forsyth Avenue for a camp themed Storytime at 11am.  Great for all ages.  Click here for more information.

Car Show at 400 Wheels – From 9:00 am to 3:00 pm there will be music, food, and other vendors. You can visit their facebook page here to stay tuned for updates and details.
Big Beach Party at Lake Lanier Islands – The Kirk Thomas Band will be playing live music. They are scheduled to perform from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. at the Coca-Cola Stage at Big Beach. To find out more visit the website by going here.

Sunday, September 1st

Monday, September 2nd

Labor Day 10k/5K – Join Totally Running for a morning of fun & fitness.  The Labor Day 10k & fun run will start at 7:30am and conclude with fun activities, vendors, and food available from local businesses.  It’s sure to be a morning of fun!  Proceeds from the event are going to TACA (Talk about curing Autism). www.tacanow.org.  Click here for more race information.
