  • The Schedule:

Vendors & Family Entertainment: 11am – 5pm
Food Trucks: 11am – 8pm
Tethered Hot Air Balloon Rides: 6pm – 8pm {Weather Permitting – see section on hot air balloons for more information on this.}

  • Shuttle Rides:

I didn’t know this so I’m assuming you might not know either! But there will be shuttle rides offered from 11-5pm to and from the parking lot. Isn’t that so fabulous? I think so! The shuttle is located at the Rec Center & Food Pavilion for pick up and drop off. {Tip: If you want a shuttle ride back to your car, make sure you get to the shuttle before it closes at 5pm. Also, please know that the event doesn’t end until 8pm (only the shuttle closes at 5pm)}

  • Entertainment & Food:

I’m excited to fill you in with a little secret – There will be over 100 participating vendors for entertainment.  {Tip: Make sure you bring cash. Some of our vendors will only accept cash. So, you will want to make sure you are prepared!} The vendors are coming in from three different categories:
     Arts & Crafts: A few examples of some you will see are Disney Princesses, Handmade Local Jewelry Makers, Henna Art, Sand Art & Much More!
     Business Vendors: A few examples that you will see in this category are Rucker Pet, Sheriff’s Office (doing a Touch-A-Truck display), Kiddie Academy (providing Face Painting), Cumming Smiles Dentistry (providing a petting zoo), and many more!
     Food Trucks: The following food trucks will be at Play at the Park – Cousins Maine Lobster, Big C’s Chicago Kitchen, Big House BBQ, Grubbin’ Out, Philly Connection, Gotta Have It, The Carnival Truck, Deep South Biscuit Co. Also, the following dessert trucks will be in attendance – Repicci’s, King of Pops, Daddy O’s Ice Cream, Kona Ice, Sweet Jeanius, Not As Famous Cookie Co

  • Hot Air Balloon Rides:

If you have ever wanted to experience a hot air balloon ride, but you were too afraid to do a full one – this is YOUR chance! First of all, if you hear nothing else but this – that would be just fine…the ride completely depends on the weather. The balloons will not fly if there is any wind.  Let me repeat. The balloons will NOT fly if there is any wind. {Tip: Because of this information, my tip is to fully disclose this information to your children. We don’t want anyone walking away disappointed and not knowing this information. Please share with your friends!}

  • Save Time:

There are two ways you can save some time before you attend Play at the Park. First, familiarize yourself with the map of the event (Download Here). That way when you get there you know exactly where you want to go! Secondly, make sure you are following Play at the Park on Facebook. They will share important information ahead of time so you might want to read up.

  • Bring Cash:

We live in a world where we don’t need to keep cash on hand. However, for this event, I recommend you bring some cash. Especially if you want to do the hot air balloons. I know for a fact they will only accept cash. {Tip: Bring cash just in case you want to participate with a vendor that only accepts cash}
