Forsyth County Parks and Recreation will host the 16th annual Play at the Park Family Fun Festival.
Play at the Park is a community festival that features kid’s activities, live entertainment, vendors and food trucks. This event is brought to you by Forsyth County Parks & Recreation and the Cumming-Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce

The event will feature a variety of family-friendly entertainment and activities all with free admission! {Quick Tip: There is not an ATM and some of the vendor booths will require cash payments for their activities. You will want to bring some cash with you!} 
*Vendors and Family Entertainment from 11am-5pm, Food Trucks 11am-8pm, and Tethered Hot Air Balloon rides (dependent on weather) from 6pm-8pm.*

  • Can I bring my dog to the event? Yes, leashed dogs are allowed at the event. Please clean-up after your pet.
  • Is there an admission fee to enter the festival? No, it’s free admission.
  • Is there a fee to park at the festival? No, it’s free to park.
  • Where do I park? Parking is available in Fowler Park. There are over 1,000 parking spaces available throughout the park. There will be sheriff’s deputies and CERT volunteers assisting festival goers with parking.
  • Will there be shuttles available? Yes, golf cart shuttles will be available from 11 am to 5 pm during the main festival time. There will not be shuttles available from 6 to 9 pm for the hot air balloon activities.
  • Are there free activities for children? Yes, the inflatables, train rides, petting zoo and playground are free. In addition, there are other activities provided by vendors that are free. There is also a drumming activity and roaming entertainers provided at no charge to festival goers.
  • What time are things happening? The main festival hours are 11am to 5pm and during this time there will be kid’s activities, family entertainment, food trucks and vendors. From 6 to 9 pm, there will be tethered hot air balloon rides, food trucks and a DJ with music (all weather permitting).
  • How long are the balloon rides? Approximately, 5 minutes
  • Will the balloon rides occur rain or shine? For safety reasons, balloon rides are contingent on wind and weather conditions. A decision will be made at approximately 5pm on whether the rides will take place.
  • What other opportunities will be available at the festival that cost money? There will be food trucks and vendors selling items.
  • What food trucks will be at the event? Cousins Maine Lobster, Big C’s Chicago Kitchen, Big House BBQ, Grubbin’ Out, Gotta Have It, The Carnival Truck, Deep South Biscuit Co, Repicci’s, King of Pops, Daddy O’s Ice Cream, Kona Ice, Sweet Jeanius, Not As Famous Cookie Co
  • How many vendors will be at the festival? Up to 100 vendors. Vendors will include local businesses, arts and crafts, independent consultants and non-profits organizations.
  • Is there Wi-Fi available in the park and at the festival? No, there is not.
