Apple Picking Near Cumming GA

Are you on a search to find the best apples in GA? Why not have a morning or afternoon out picking some fresh ones yourself?  Apple Picking can be a great family event!
We have out together a list of a few places to pick your own apples near Cumming, GA. Most of them are located in Ellijay. Maybe a day trip and hitting all of them is the best plan?
Note:  U-pick is typically on the weekend (although the orchard may be open every day) and weather permitting.  We link directly to the orchard so you can check with them for their operating schedule & weather delays. 

  1. Mercier Orchards: Located in the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains. This little gem is open everyday from 7:00am to 8:00pm.   The U-Pick season is every Saturday & Sunday (weather permitting) from 10am to 4pm through October.  To find out more about what they have going on click here.
  2. BJ Reece Orchards: Elijay has this wonderful orchard that is open everyday from 8:00am to 6:00pm. Here is the address 9131 Highway 52 East Ellijay, Georgia 30536. U-Pick Season is August 31 – October 31.  They have a bunch of fall activities during the weekend including apple cannon, petting farm, and much more!   3. Hillcrest Orchards: In September and October, Hillcrest Orchard is open daily from 9:00am – 6:00pm. A calendar of events and pricing can be found by clicking here. The U-pick season starts September 7th and runs every weekend through October.  Here is their address 9696 Hwy. 52 E., Ellijay, Georgia 30536
  4. Red Apple Barn: Also in Ellijay, the Red Apple Barn’s address is 3379 Tailscreek Road, Ellijay, Georgia 30540. Prices can be found by clicking here.  The U-pick Season is open now on the weekends.  Wagon rides and a pumpkin patch are available in September and October. Find out more by visiting the website.
