Sponsor Spotlight: Soulful Art
Jeanne Matey, owner of “Soulful Art” is a gifted artist who specializes in oil & acrylic works of art for your home or office. Her work graces the walls of many in the Cumming community, as well as surrounding areas. She is well known for her clever knack of taking a client’s vision and turning it into tangible art for them to enjoy.
Her paint brush knows no bounds, having completed a life size comic book mural in Crabapple to an 18 ‘ x 22 ’ landscape scene painted right here in Cumming. In addition to her larger projects, she also enjoys creating tender scenes in a baby nursery as seen here with her whimsical trees and precious depiction of birds’ nests and chipmunks.
She can truly make any child’s room feel special by creating one of a kind, hand painted works of art on walls or canvas. Jeanne takes great pride in giving back to the Cumming community and in doing so; Soulful Art awards a very deserving child each year with a custom artwork project of their choice. To submit someone for the Soulful Art Giveaway, please contact Jeanne. In addition to being a full-time artist, Jeanne also enjoys teaching, and instructs her painters at Glazed & Fired Art Studio.
Jeanne holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies from Mercer University, in addition to a degree in Art with a studio emphasis. Her background includes studio work in painting, drawing, sculpting, as well as art history. She is a member of the Sawnee Artist Association(SAA) and the Georgia Art League(GAL)/Quinlan Art Center. Jeanne’s oil paintings are now on display at the “Sunshine Village Galllery” near Athens, GA.
