SCREENAGERS: Growing Up in the Digital Age is the first feature documentary to explore the impact of screen technology on kids and to offer families proven solutions for navigating through a world where kids and teens have instant access to screens. What started out as a personal story for one family has grown into a national movement, helping millions of families.

Pinecrest Academy will host a showing of SCREENAGERS on Monday, December 2, at 6:30pm, in the Upper School Gym. This event is free and open to the public.

After the film, a panel of experts will be on-hand for a 30-minute question and answer session. The panel includes:

  • Wendy Baribeau, LAMFT – Counselor
  • Stephanie Schuette, MSW – Social Worker
  • Katie Stokes – Student
  • Dr. Margaret Boudreaux – Pediatrician
  • Addiction Expert (TBD)

Parents with children of all ages are strongly encouraged to attend, even if their children don’t yet have digital devices. This showing is especially recommended to parents of elementary and middle school children. Teenagers are encouraged to come learn how to manage their screen time in a healthy way.

Additional resources will be available at the screening for parents to take with them.
