High Heels & Handbags 2013 Fundraising Event
Cate is growing up! And beautifully I might add!! It was in 2011 that I was introduced to The Zavitz family of Cumming, GA and their little girl, Cate. Through this, I was also introduced to “The Foundation for Ichthyosis & Related Skin Type, Inc.” (FIRST) – a national non profit devoted to the special interests of patients with Ichthyosis. Ichthyosis is a rare genetic skin disease, characterized by dry, thick, cracked and scaling skin. Dermatologists estimate there are at least twenty varieties, ranging in severity. Approximately 16,000 babies are born each year with some form.
Through support of their friends & family, the community, local businesses, and many Cumming Local readers too, the Zavitz Family hosted a fundraising event – High Heels & Handbags to benefit FIRST. And, I’m excited to say that the event is back!
You’re Invited to Attend:
The third annual High Heels & Handbags will be held this Thursday, June 13th at Pepperoni’s – Midway, in the Midway Family Festival Center. Admission to the event is FREE starting at 7pm, but shoppers eager to find a great buy can make a tax-deductible $5 donation to enter the event early and can shop from 6:30-7pm. The sale ends at 9:30pm.
New this year swag bags will be given to the first 50 people in attendance.
Be sure to come to the event hungry because Pepperoni’s will be offering their full menu of food and drinks during the night and will be donating a portion of sales back to High Heels & Handbags.
Note: HH&HB is no longer accepting shoe & purse donations for this year’s sale; however they are still looking for a few more raffle prizes, so if youhave a business and would like to donate something, please contact Sam ASAP.
