Five years ago I launched Cumming Local – to help local families find things to do, places to go and small businesses to support. At the beginning of the summer I announced I was putting Cumming Local up for sale.
It was definitely a bittersweet decision. I have truly enjoyed getting to know some amazing business owners in Forsyth County and I have absolutely loved getting to know so many of our wonderful readers – some of you in person and others only online.  I’ve truly loved being more aware of things going on in our community and helping to share that information with others.

We’ve had a lot of fun over the last five years – at Girl’s Night Out Events, hosting giveaways and most importantly introducing you to new businesses and happenings in Cumming, GA.  But I knew it was time.
The process took a little longer but you (the readers) have graciously hung around and even when we’ve been a little quieter than normal, we actually continued to grow -there’s nearly 1000 more Facebook fans just since May!!  And I’m so happy to say that our patience has paid off.
The papers are signed and the keys have been transferred.  Cumming Local now has a new owner and I couldn’t be happier about the person that will be taking it over.  She’ll introduce herself tomorrow and you’ll find she’s a perfect fit.  I have no doubt that she’ll continue to grow Cumming Local and do so many wonderful things in our community.  I’ve told her I’ll be her biggest cheerleader so I hope you’ll join me with a big welcome tomorrow!

So today, it’s time for me to say goodbye to Cumming Local.  I hate (really, really hate) goodbyes.  So I won’t say goodbye to each of you.  Instead, I hope you’ll choose to jump over and join me at one (or maybe BOTH) of my new homes on the world wide web and see what I have going on in the future.
