Once again, we’re compiling our list of 2013 Summer Camps in Forsyth County for kids in hopes of making your summer planning a little easier. Below you’ll find Summer Camps for local businesses & organizations. Camps are listed in DATE ORDER after our “Featured Camps”.  These camps are sponsors for this 2013 Summer Camp Guide!!  We’re very appreciative of their support so we can bring you this comprehensive list!

Featured Camps

Camp:  The Jungle Book Drama Camp
Description:  Join the Forefront Art team for an exciting week of Drama Camp that will include creative play, drama games, improvisation, and rehearsing for the big show on Friday!
Our smallest performers (ages 3-5) can take part in an exciting half-day camp featuring Disney’s “The Jungle Book”. Each day we’ll do warm-ups, play theater games, make up stories, sing and dance to music, create costumes and props for the show, and practice for our big performance on Friday night!
Performance Campers (1st-8th grades) will get to experience the entire production rehearsal process: auditions to find the perfect role for each student, blocking rehearsals, character development, memorizing lines, music and dance rehearsals, and finally, performing the show for an audience of family and friends!
In addition to rehearsing the show campers will play fun theatre games, learn warm-ups, and do crafts. The camp will expose students to many aspects of live theatre including movement, music, blocking, theatrical makeup, and set and costume design. Both novice and experienced performers are welcome. We’ll work and play hard all week and perform a great show on Friday for family and friends.
Disney’s “The Jungle Book” will be performed Friday, June 14 at 7 pm. The performance will be free and open to the public.

Camp:  Dance Summer Fantasy Camp
Description:  Our “Fantasy Camps” are so exciting!  Just what your ballerina needs to get her through Summer Break and keep her upon her dance knowledge before the new season begins!
Dance camps are also an excellent resource for new, aspiring ballerinas!  Camp gives them time to get adjusted to the studio, class routines and how exciting ballet can really be!  They will be more than prepared to start “feet first” when September comes around!  Fantasy Camps are divided into different levels based on the age of the ballerina.
For ages 2-8, the dancers stay at camp for 3 hours per day, for an entire week.  On the last day of camp, we have a “Parent Performance” in which we will present a demonstration of all we have learned!

Camp:  Summer Day Camps at Glazed & Fired
Description:  Let your children show their creative side as they create works of art and have fun doing so!  Glazed & Fired Camps are from 10:30am to 1:30pm.  Choose one or two days each week throughout the summer.  Each day and week’s theme is different so you child can take as many sessions as you decide and they’ll have a different creation to bring home each day!  Click here to see the different themes.
Wednesday Camps will feature Canvas, Pottery & Clay while Thursday Camps will feature Canvas, Pottery & Mosaics.  For ages 6 years to 12 years.  Don’t forget to pack a lunch or snack!
