DESCRIPTION:Visit the library to explore Rightfully Hers\, a new popup exhibition from the National Archives commemorating the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment. \nRightfully Hers contains simple messages exploring the history of the ratification of the 19th amendment\, women’s voting rights before and after the 19th\, and its impact today. Despite decades of marches\, petitions\, and public debate to enshrine a woman’s right to vote in the constitution\, the 19th Amendment – while an enormous milestone – did not grant voting rights for all. There will be awards for best mustache\, best partial beard and best full beard with exciting prize packages for each category winner.  \nThere is no fee to attend the event\, but beard contest participants will pay a $25 entry fee. Each participant will get a $10 gift certificate from Unique Cuts plus other swag. 100% of entry fees will be donated to men’s cancer research and awareness.   \nWe will post a link for contest entry later this week.
