October?!?  How can it even be?  I feel like time has flown by since school started.  But this is my favorite time of year, so I’m ready to take it all in!

By the look of the calendar, it’s apparent that the Fall Activities have begun.  Be sure to take advantage of the great things being offered around town this weekend.

4pm:  Brookwood Farmer’s Market:  It’s the last market of the season.  Stock up & enjoy!

2pm:  Forsyth County Public Library Family Cinema Event

Throughout the weekend, you can also take in some Fall Fun at Kinsey Family Farm – pumpkins, hayrides, petting area & more!  This is a fun stop during the season for our family & many, many others in Forsyth County!

Weekend Activities in Cumming GA: 9/9/11 – 9/11/11

Why is it that four day work/ school weeks sometimes feel longer than the regular five day?  I don’t know about you, but my family is ready for the weekend!

We’ll actually kick start ours with a day at the soccer fields and then end up watching lots of football, I am sure.

Saturday, 7:30am: The weekly BootCamp Class with Focal Fitness is Back.  $10 for a great workout to get the weekend started of right!

Saturday, 9am – 10am: It’s Breakfast Club time at Alpaca Yarn!  Start this month’s club project – a cabled cow!  Kit is $23 … but satisfaction of making your own is priceless!

Sunday, 10am: We have lots to remember on this special day.  Lots to be thankful for & honor.  And lots to celebrate at the Forsyth Family Fest!  This is a FREE event sure to be great!

It’s shaping up to be a great weekend.  It will be busy in my house – we celebrate my daughter’s birthday and my husband & I celebrate our Anniversary so we’ll be out & about with several celebrations!

Saturday, August 20th: Grand Opening of Cool Bees

Grand Opening of Cool Bees at 4710 Atlanta Hwy (across from Midway Elementary). Music, Food, and local vendors. Plus for every Cool Bees purchase, buyers will be entered into a drawing for 2 field level seat tickets to the Falcons vs. Carolina game on October 16th. Event is from 10am to 6pm.

Bake & Stir for the Cure

Join Stick it 2 Cancer 7 LLS (Chapter One)  at Rooterplus as they bake their way to a cure!  The kids are making fresh lemonade & there will be plenty of sweet treats.  Bring your pitching arm for their “toilet toss game”.  All proceeds will be donated to fight for a cure for cancer!

It’s the last weekend before Forsyth County Schools get back in session!  Can you believe it?  How is your family spending the weekend? We’ll be celebrating both my son & daughter’s birthday, with some back to school shopping thrown in the mix too!

Friday – June 24th

Brookwood Farmer’s Market – Lots of wonderful vendors, entertainment for the kids, sampling and purchasing as you go. It’s easy to make “grocery” shopping the entertainment for the night at Brookwood! Every Friday through mid October. 4pm to 7pm.

Saturday – June 25th

Cumming Farmer’s Market – Visit the Cumming Fairgrounds every Wednesday & Saturday from 7am to 12Noon (unless sold out sooner) for the Cumming Farmer’s Market.

Movies 400 Family Fun Day – Movies 400 celebrates the release of Cars 2 with a day of fun – moonwalks, face painting, animal balloons & more! 11:30am to 5:30pm

Lowe’s Build & Grow – Take the kids to build a fun “Waving Flag”. Begins at 10am. This is a FREE Event.

Kids Go Green Grand RE-Opening Event – Celebrate the grand RE-Opening of Kids Go Green on Market Place Blvd.  Moonwalks, Facepainting, their popular “Bag Sale” and more!    10am to 2pm

Movie Under the StarsBethelview United Methodist Church (near corner of Bethelview & Kelly Mill Road) will feature a CARS 1 – a Movie Under the Stars Event for the community to enjoy. Gates open at 8pm. Movie will begin at dark.
