18 Hour BBQ at Mountain Lake – To Serve & Say Thanks

It’s an 18 Hour BBQ …

And no – you’re not invited to eat!  Unless, of course you’re a public safety personnel!

Beginning Friday, September 9th at 6pm and through Saturday, September 10th at 12:00pm, Mountain Lake will be hosting an 18 Hour BBQ

Why?

To serve and thank the community’s public safety personnel in honor of the 10 year anniversary of September 11th.

There are multiple ways for you to get involved.  You don’t have to be a member of Mountain Lake, just willing & available!

  • Bake and Deliver Cookies to a Fire Station or Police Station!

When: Wednesday, September 7 from 9:00am – 1:00pm
Bake 30 cookies or brownies.  Visit the office at Mountain Lake Church to pick up a reminder flyer and directions to your Fire Station or Police Station.  Deliver your baked goods!

  • Drop off a 12 or 24 pack of Bottled Water

When: Thursday, September 8 from 8:30am – 5:00pm
Pick up a 12 or 24 pack of Bottled Water and bring it the office of Mountain Lake Church to insure there will be plenty of drinks for the 18 Hour BBQ!

  • Setup for the 18 Hour BBQ

When: Thursday, September 8 from 4:00 – 6:00pm
Simply show up at Mountain Lake where you will receive instructions for setting up all of the tables, chairs, sound system, and everything else for the 18 Hour BBQ!

  • Reminder Phone Calls to Police & Fire Stations

When: Friday, September 9 from 10:00am – 1:00pm
You will receive a list of Fire Stations or Police Stations to call and remind about the 18 Hour BBQ that starts at 6:00pm that night!

  • Serve at the 18 Hour BBQ!

When: Friday, September 9th starting at 6:00pm and ending on Saturday, September 10th at 12:00pm.
Sign up for a 3 hour shift that you will be at the church to serve in whatever way is needed.

  • Friday: 6pm – 9pm; Friday: 9pm-12am; Saturday: 12am-3am; Saturday: 3am-6am; Saturday: 6am-9am; Saturday: 9am-12pm

Girlfriends Reminder

I am really looking forward to Thursday night – not only is it the Ultimate Girl’s Night Out, but I am really looking forward to meeting many of you!

The Ultimate Girl’s Night Out is being sponsored by Girlfriends, a Ministry of Mountain Lake Church – a place my family loves to call our church home.

However, there is nothing “church-y” about this night.  Just a night for ladies to get out of the house, enjoy some shopping with great discounts & savings, eat a little food, win giveaways and just have fun.

The event is from 6:30 to 8:30pm and is completely free!!  Of course you’ll want to bring some spending money to take advantage of some great savings by the great vendors lined up.

Here’s you can expect to find:

Cumming Local – your’s truly!!  We’re not selling anything, just meeting you and giving away a free gift to the first 200 people that stop by our booth.  Please don’t be shy.  I really want to meet you!!

31 Gifts – There will be several 31 Vendors and most are providing a giveaway from the main stage.  Our friend Staci’s Thirty One Gifts will be there with a giveaway from the stage & from her booth.  So make sure you stop by her booth to register.

Skin Solutions Skincare Studio – Providing a giveaway from the main stage!  Plus, Connect with our friends, Skin Solutions on Facebook.  They’ll be providing Minute Massage & Complimentary Skincare Consultations.  They’ll also have a giveaway at their booth and some great savings on pre-booked skincare appts.  Definitely don’t miss their booth!

Band of Brothers, a Ministry of Mountain Lake Church, presents the hottest event of the Summer, Bulls-Eye.

What is Bulls-Eye?

A manly event for men to connect, eat, play, and fellowship together.

It will be an incredible night – designed to challenge and encourage you.  With lots of manly fun in the process!  Dinner will be catered by JIM ‘N NICKS (that’s reason enough to go right there)!  There will be competitions (with awesome prizes) that will test your manhood & accuracy.  Cool cars.  And loud motorcycles too!

Come ready to EAT BIG and PLAY HARD!

Benefit Concert at Mountain Lake Church

Mountain Lake Church’s theALTERNATIVE, was created to provide safe environments for students after major school events.  They’ve already hosted great events after major football games & proms.

This weekend, the ALTERNATIVE is hosting a “Benefit Concert” Friday (May 6) at 7:30PM on the campus of Mountain Lake Church. All of the proceeds will help expand into other schools and keep teens from engaging in destructive behavior.

The concert will include performances by Ricardo Sanchez & Jake Guiledge.  Along with Starbucks Coffee & Chocolate Fondue Fountains!  Tickets are just $20.

If you can’t make it to the concert but are interested in helping this awesome cause, a tax deductible donation may be made.
