Mia’s Continues their “Make Someone’s Month” Campaign

April 14 is the second deadline to nominate someone special for the Mia’s Pizza and Eats Make Someone’s Month promotion (someone you love could win a free pizza each week for a month). April is a month to celebrate new beginnings, so let’s focus our nominations on those people who’ve made a great change in their lives that has lead them to a positive new beginning or that has lead others to go after new beginnings of their own.

Simply send a letter detailing a story about a deserving individual — this can be an inspirational or entertaining story. Mia’s will choose a winner from the entries and give that person a complimentary 12-inch pizza with up to three toppings each week for a month.

Spring Festival

Over 70 artisans and vendors will be present

We are excited to announce our participation in the Market 334 Spring Festival.  We’ll be grilling pizzas for the crowd, and it’s sure to be fun filled.  Brown’s BBQ and Catering will also be selling food. Over 70 artisans and vendors will be present for the event that opens at 10am and closes at 5pm.  Entry is free.

Mia’s Announces a New Campaign to “Make Someone’s Month”

Mia’s Pizza & Eats is launching a new campaign & ongoing promotion to honor someone in the community of Cumming – The Make Someone’s Month Campaign!

Mia’s already does a lot for our community through their 10% donation to Food for Thought, this new campaign is just another great way that Mia’s shows they are & want to continue to be, a part of our cummunity!

Mia’s Pizza and Eats Presents a Perpetual Fundraiser

Mia’s Pizza and Eats Presents a Perpetual Fundraiser and Food Drive to Support the Efforts of the Food for Thought Project in Cumming, Georgia.

Mia’s Pizza and Eats of Cumming, Georgia is sponsoring a fundraiser and food drive to help support the continuous efforts of Food for Thought Project, a Cumming charity devoted to ending hunger in Forsyth County.

Each time a customer brings in a non-perishable food donation, Mia’s Pizza will donate 10% of that sale to Food for Thought.  The fundraiser applies to dine-in or take-out orders only, and does not apply to orders using promotional offers, coupons, or certificates.  The fundraiser is an ongoing effort and does not have an end date.

Food for Though Project began in April 2011 through the efforts of Shari Nunez and Kim Boudet.  Food for Thought makes it easy for the community to support their efforts to feed hungry and needy families:  all folks have to do is sign up at www.fftpinc.org, and Food for Thought will deliver an orange bag to be filled with canned goods between pick-up dates.  Food for Thought then comes on scheduled Saturdays, picks up the full orange bags, and drops off a new orange bag to fill.  The program makes it easy for even the busiest of folks to donate and contribute.

The project has grown to such a size, that they are collecting in excess of four tons of food on each collection dates.  Nunez states: “Currently all of the Food for Thought expenses come directly from our household budgets.  As we grow that (has) become much more cumbersome.”  Mia’s seeks to support not only the collection of non-perishable items but also the monetary needs of the organization.

What do you do with all the leftover holiday food?  Enter a contest of course!

Mia’s Pizza & Eats is hosting a “Leftover Pizza Contest” complete with a great prize – $50 Gift Certificate to Mia’s!

To Enter:

  • Participants must create a pizza using at least two leftovers from your holiday meal(s).
  • Participants must snap a pictures of your leftover pizza & post it to the Mia’s “Leftovers Pizza Contest” tab on their Facebook Page.
  • Enter your topping recipes with detailed information about leftovers, other toppings, sauce & cheese(es) used in the “caption” portion of the photo.

The contest is open now & closes on January 6th at noon.  Winners will be announced on January 7th … so start thinking & creating!

Mia’s Pizza & Eats: GiveawayS!

Earlier this month, I had the opportunity to join local, area bloggers for a get together and dinner at Mia’s Pizza & Eats.

We actually got to eat dinner with Clori, Co-Owner of Mia’s.  Which was a real treat for several reasons.  I have communicated by phone and through email with Clori for several months now.  She’s even Contributed several awesome articles to Cumming Local (with more on the way).  But I had never met Clori in person.  So I enjoyed finally putting a real face to her name.

It was also a treat because she was able to tell us some great stories as we ate (or inhaled in some cases) their yummy food!  She told us how the “Alligator Pizza” got its name.  And some info about the artwork hanging on the walls.  She told us about their love for cooking, their love of the restaurant & their appreciation of their customers & staff too.

It was a really fun, behind-the-scenes kind of night!

And why am I telling you all this?  Because Mia’s let the area bloggers leave with a little something to give away!
