McDonald’s Egg White Delight – Review & Giveaway
I’ve always been a fan of the Egg McMuffin. Stepping back in time a little bit to college days – is about when I was first introduced to it. I’ve never been one to skip breakfast entirely (until after having kids and just flat out not having time to feed everyone, including myself some days!). But usually I always need a little something on my stomach to get the day started.
That breakfast of choice many days was the McDonald’s Egg McMuffin. Seriously. I loved that thing!! On my way to work or school I would often times pick one up in the drive thru. Now I admit, I actually haven’t eaten one in many years. Not by a definite decision but more because I just don’t get out for breakfast very much these days. If we do, it’s for a family, sit down breakfast.
But when McDonald’s shared the news with me that they’ve added to the Egg McMuffin menu, it immediately brought me back!!

Atlanta area McDonald’s restaurants are serving up a new menu item – the Egg White Delight McMuffin! We’re actually one of only two US cities currently testing the new new menu item. Austin, TX will also offer it through the remainder of 2012.
One of the main reasons I liked the “old” Egg McMuffin is because it felt light to my stomach – never sat to heavy. Probably because of the English Muffin instead of a big biscuit. And now the Egg White Delight does that even better! I grabbed my first one just the other day and I was happy – it reminded me of the good ole’ days!
It tasted as I remember and still felt light on my stomach. I eat egg whites regularly, so that wasn’t a new thing for me. I suppose if that’s new for you, it might taste a little different or take a minute to get used to, but it’s nothing crazy!
