October Events in Cumming GA & Forsyth County: Fall Festivals, Trunk or Treats & Halloween Events

There are so many events in October that I decided to create a post dedicated to October Events in Cumming GA & Forsyth County.  Whether it’s a Fall Festival, Trunk or Treat, or Halloween Event it will be fun for the whole family to enjoy!

Saturday, October 1st

Mommy/Daddy and Me Halloween Painting Event – 11am to 1pm at Pinot’s Palette 11720 Medlock Bridge Rd #175 Duluth, GA 30097. For $25 each one paints one canvas and you put it together for the complete painting. Fun to paint and great Halloween décor! Click here for more information
Ghost Hunting 101 – 6:30 to 9:30 at Hampton Park Library. Stay after hours with the Southeastern Institute of Paranormal Research for an educational seminar on ghost hunting techniques. Learn about the methods and devices used during paranormal investigations, then put that knowledge to us with a hands-on ghost hunt in the library! Dinner will be provided. Tuesday, October 4th

Dungeons and Dragons for Teens – 6:30 at Hampton Park Library. Want to explore this groundbreaking fantasy roleplaying game? Join us and special guest, Paul Postel, for an introduction to its rich storytelling, intricate character development, and dramatic world building. Space and supplies are limited. Kick Off to Fall – 10am-9pm at American Redemption 300 Peachtree Industrial Blvd, Ste 300, Suwanee, Georgia 30024. Fun-filled day of activities, shopping, food and drink! Click here for more information 
Scarecrow Festival – 2pm to 3 pm at Cumming Library. Storytime featuring books, music & activities celebrating Fall!  Children will also create theme related crafts & explore the Storywalk in the Secret Garden behind the library.  Click here for more information.
Fall Festival at Gibbs Garden – The Fabulous Michael Allen Radio Show Band on Saturday, with Bar-B-Que and desserts from Not So Famous Cookie Co. and Pie Local. Face painting for children. Half price admission. Click here for more information

Sunday, October 9th

Lily’s Run and Fall Festival – Join us for this fun family event including 5K, bounce houses, cornhole tournament, cupcake decorating station, youth sports activities, arts and crafts, vendors, face painting and more! Wild Rumpus Storytime – 10:15am & 11:15am at Hampton Park Library. Join us for a special Where the Wild Things Are storytime and party! Come dressed as your favorite wild thing! Be prepared to gnash your terrible teeth and roar your terrible roars during our wild rumpus parade!

Thursday, October 20th

Pumpkin Festival – 3pm to 4:30pm at Hampton Park Library parking lot. Join us for our 4th Annual Hampton Park Pumpkin Festival! Carve and decorate your own pumpkin – We will provide the tools and supplies, don’t forget to BYOP (Bring Your Own Pumpkin). All ages are welcome to attend this family event.

Friday, October 21st

Goosebumps Movie Party – 1:15pm at Post Road Library. Join us for crafts, games, and spooky fun at our Goosebumps Movie Party from 1:15 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Afterward, stay and watch Goosebumps (Rated PG). Click here for more information

Terrifying Tales and Haunted Artifacts – 6:30pm at Post Road Library. Professional Storyteller Tim Sonefelt brings his scariest TRUE stories from Southern history and a collection of haunted artifacts to the Post Road. Due to the truly creepy content, this program is recommended for middle school students and above. Fall Festival at Grace Baptist Church – 6pm to 8:30pm at 3775 Spot Rd, Cumming. There will be bouncy houses, snow cones, popcorn, games, a trunk or treat, a marshmallow roast, and much more! Click here for more information
Trunk or Treat Safety Event at Cumming Fairgrounds – 6pm to 9pm at 235 Castleberry Road in Cumming. Admission is one family-sized bag of candy per family. Children are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes to Trunk or Treat, which will feature a variety of fun activities and games. Friday, October 28th

Chattahoochee Elementary Fall Festival – 4:30pm-7pm at 2800 Holtzclaw Rd, Cumming, GA 30041. There will be Food trucks, Fire Department, Inflatables, Carnival Games, Cake Walk, Hero Dog Rescue with Adoptions, Local Vendors, Face Painting and more! The cost is $15/wristband. The wristbands allow unlimited access to the games (excluding cake walk), inflatables, and most activities. Parents & children under 3 are free. Click here for more information.

Trick or Treat Storytime & Costume Parade – 11:15am at Post Road Library.  Dress up in costume for a special storytime featuring holiday books, music and activities.  After storytime, children will be able to “trick or treat” with the library staff.  Click here for more information.
Trunk or Treat at the Farm – 2pm to 5pm at Warbington Farms 5555 Crow Rd, Cumming. Walk from trunk to trunk of vehicles filled with spooks and surprises! Event is free with fun park admission ($10) which also includes Corn Maze, hayride, petting zoo, jumbo pillow, corn crib, slides, swings & more activities.  Come dressed in costume and receive $1 off admission (adults & children). A Night in the Patch at Cumming First United Methodist Church – 5pm.  770 Canton Hwy, Cumming GA 30040.  FREE to everyone.  Hot dog Supper & Dessert, Games, Smores, Showing of Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown on the lawn at dusk. Click here for more information
Boo Bash Trick-or-Treating – North GA Premium Outlets 800 Hwy 400 S, Dawsonville from 4pm-7pm. Area goons and goblins will enjoy center-wide trick-or-treating, tunes from DJ Crazy Mike in the Gazebo, games and more to celebrate the spook-tacular holiday. Stores participating in the trick-or-treating festivities will display an orange pumpkin sign in the store window; those with a teal pumpkin will offer allergy-friendly options for children under age 12.
