Have you seen the commercials? Or maybe the billboard ads around town? This summer, Atlanta area McDonald’s restaurants are serving up a new menu item – Mighty Wings – crispy, crunchy, spicy & bone-in chicken wings that are big & meaty.
The new Mighty Wings first became available in the beginning of August in Atlanta area McDonald’s restaurants. In fact, Atlanta is the only market in the U.S to offer the Mighty Wings in 2012 … whether it’s something you might like or not, I think it’s pretty cool to be a one & only!
We were recently asked to give the new Mighty Wings a try. Now I’m typically not one to handle “spicy” to well. UNLESS Matthew McConaughey is saying “you’ve got a little spicy” as he’s wiping the corner of my lips (bonus point if you can name that movie)!
But I was game for for giving it a shot! For me, McDonald’s got bonus points for making it spicy without also making it messy. Actually big bonus points for me! I typically shy away from ordering wings anywhere for that reason of constantly needing a wet napkin! And then they got another set of points for making it actually meaty. Wings are typically a lot of work for very little reward, in my opinion. So props to McDonald’s for accomplishing both!
More about the new Mighty Wings:
- Mighty Wings are offered with an array of sauces so consumers can flavor them any way they want. Sauces include: Creamy Ranch, Spicy Buffalo and Tangy BarBeQue.
- Mighty Wings are available in three, five and 10 piece options that can be enjoyed by themselves or paired with fries and a beverage as part of an extra value meal.
- Mighty Wings will be available in all Atlanta area McDonald’s restaurants for a suggested price of $2.99 while supplies last.
