Flavors of Forsyth 2012

It has a new location, a new date, and an outstanding line-up in 2012!  We’re talking about the United Way Flavors of Forsyth.

When:  Sunday, May 20th – Noon to 6pm

This is a fun way to taste a variety of restaurants in Forsyth County! Bring the entire family & enjoy food, fun, music & more!

There is NO Entry Fee.  However, tickets will be available to purchase for all food, drinks, and children activities.  Tickets are 50 cents each.

Georgia Movies in the Park

The location has been set and the movies have been selected, so now it’s time to get it on your calendar!

Thanks to Northside Hospital Forsyth & the Cumming Fairgrounds, we’ll have access to FREE Outdoor Summer Movies.

  • Saturday, June 23th – Alvin & the Chipmunks Chip Wrecked
  • Saturday, July 28th – The Three Stooges

Both movies:

  • Shown with FREE Admission.
  • Offer Pre-Movie Activities starting at 7pm.
  • Feature Presentation beginning at Dusk.
  • Will be shown rain (under the arena) or shine.

Be sure to bring a blanket or lawn chair too!

It was also announced last week that Northside Hospital Forsyth will host “Movies in the Park” at the Cumming Fairgrounds!  Two show dates – June 23 (Alvin & The Chipmunks Chip Wrecked) & July 28th (The Three Stooges), both starting at dusk.  The event will be held rain (inside the arena) or shine!

Cumming Aquatic Center in Forsyth County: 2012 Summer Opening

2012 Summer Opening

The Cumming Aquatic Center’s Outdoor Leisure Pool & Water Park is almost ready for 2012 Visitors.   The following information was released from the Recreation & Parks website:

Opening Dates:
Weekends - Beginning May 5th
Daily – Beginning May 28th

Hours:
Monday through Saturday -
Session 1:  10am to 2pm*
Session 2:  2:30pm to 6:30pm*

Sunday -
Session 1:  1pm to 6pm*
Session 2:  n/a

*VERY IMPORTANT: A separate admission is required for EACH session.  (Sorry, I don’t make the rules I just share them – if I made the rules, it would be different!)

Primrose Steeplechase: Spring Fling 2012

Spring Fling 2012 – Save the Date:

Primrose Steeplechase in Cumming, GA will host their annual Spring Fling Event on Friday, May 11th from 5pm to 8pm.

The event will be lots of fun for the entire family with rides, food, games, face painting, pony rides, lots of prizes & even a silent auction for gift baskets!

In addition to being just a lot of fun, it’s also a very large fundraising event to benefit a great & local charity.  Giving back to the community is a very important part of what Primrose does. This year, Primrose has a goal of $5000.00, all to benefit Jesse’s House and the Primrose Children’s Foundation.

Vendors Welcome:

Local businesses, crafters, & more are invited to rent space and set up as a Vendor during the event.  Spaces start at just $75 and include additional exposure as well.  If you’re interested, you may contact Kelly Piatty at Primrose 678-455-6008.
