3rd ANNUAL LAKE LANIER ISLANDS RESORT ARTS & CRAFT FESTIVAL AND IN THE WATER BOAT SHOW & Sale

LOCATION: The festival will take place at the Lake Lanier Islands Resort in Buford, GA. The festival sight is located at the Islands Marina.
Forty-five minutes from northeast Atlanta, Lake Lanier Islands Resort is situated on the shores of Lake Sidney Lanier and is Georgia’s most visited lakeside resort destination. This breathtaking site encompasses natural beauty in a private setting, making it an ideal location for events, family vacations, romantic getaways, business conferences, meetings, weddings, and more. It also boasts an impressive list of accommodations and amenities sure to exceed the expectations of the most discerning traveler.
FESTIVAL: The festival is filled with visual arts and crafts and will feature continuous entertainment. Check out the “Master of the Chainsaw” Brian Ruth as he carves a masterpiece out of a three foot log in 30 minutes. Kick back and listen to the sweet sounds of Scott Thompson as he plays all the songs you know and love. There will be a variety of food booths to please any palate and a large interactive children’s area. The festival is woven into an incredible “in the water” boat show, so bring the whole family, there’s something for mom, dad and the kids. Plan to stay overnight at the beautiful Legacy Lodge, eat a great breakfast buffet and soak up two days of family fun. There will be special weekend packages available.
NEW THIS YEAR: The kids will get the chance to fish in Lawton’s Portable Trout Pond. Remember age is no factor where fishing is involved the old teach the young and the young teach the old. Free of charge to kids of all ages.
BOAT SHOW: Join us for Georgia’s largest “in the water” boat show and sale, with over 80 boats in the water in 2011. You can step aboard a variety of fine watercraft. Come check out luxury cruisers, pontoons, ski boats, sport boats, runabouts, and watercraft of all shapes and sizes. Many will be available for “in the water” demo by qualified buyers.
Attendance: Average attendance each year is an estimated 15,000 guests over the weekend.
Cost: Free admission to the event with a $10.00 fee per vehicle to enter Lake Lanier Islands Resort. (discount coupons will be available)

Located north of downtown Atlanta, take I-85N to I-985N to exit 8 (Friendship Road/Lanier Islands Pkwy). Follow the signs to Lake Lanier Islands Resort. Or take GA 400N to exit 14. Go East on GA 20, turn left on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard and left on Friendship Road.
